You guys… This wedding was absolutely amazing. First off, I have known Brittany almost my entire life. We grew up a few streets over from each other and went to school together basically our entire lives. She went off to SFA and met the love of her life out, Robert, there! When she reached out to me about shooting her wedding I was ecstatic. It was so great to see her again and catch up on where life has taken us. What got me even more excited about her wedding was when she told me she was getting married at The Stanley Hotel which is one of my favorite spots in Colorado. I am a huge Haunted hotel fan, and this is supposedly one of the most haunted hotels in the United States. A little back history on the Stanley.. Stephen King stayed here in 1973 for a night in room 217. The hauntings and experiences he experienced inspired him to write the book the Shining. Speaking of the shining… We decided since her bridesmaids were dressed in shorter blue dressed, that we just had to recreate that scene with the twins in the Shining. I mean after all, we were in the hotel that inspired the book! All in all its a pretty epic place. If you ever find yourself there, I totally recommend their ghost tours after dark. They’re pretty chilling.

On their wedding day, Brittany and Robert decided to do a noon wedding which worked out really well because we wanted to take the evening and go do some mountain top portraits in Rocky Mountain National Park. You can’t travel all the way from TX for your wedding at the Stanley and not go exploring a little bit for awesome portraits. So once the wedding was over, we went and drove up trail ridge road to capture some true Colorado wedding portraits. It was suppose to storm all night, and we literally just missed the rain by minutes. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful wedding day.
