breckenridge elopement

Breckenridge Elopement | Christian + Chris

Christian and Chris are two wonderful humans and I am so entirely happy to have met them. I actually met them for the first time at their Breckenridge Elopement. They came all the way from Dallas to elope. We had never actually had the opportunity to meet prior to their big day. They are both photographers down in Dallas and are just legit the coolest couple. Voyage Dallas actually did an article on Christian earlier this year. Go check it out HERE! They also had the coolest wedding that fit them perfectly.

HOOSIER PASS WEDDING PORTRAITS

On the day of their Breckenridge Elopement, I woke up at dawn to drive up to the top of Hoosier pass in Breckenridge. I needed to see if it would be suitable for portraits. It was beyond suitable… it was magical. I knew this was going to be the perfect spot to start their portraits.

When planning an outdoor wedding or elopement in Breckenridge, Colorado weather is always a mystery. All week the forecast said rain for Saturday. So as we got closer to the date we made the call to do the portraits in the late morning instead of evening. It was the best decision as we were blessed with some epic clouds blowing snow all above the mountains and nothing but sunshine over us.

SAPPHIRE POINT WEDDING PORTRAITS

Once we finished up on top of the mountain, we headed down and ended up finishing the day off at Sapphire Point. This location is right off lake Dillon with Stunning lakeside views.  Its a must as far as portrait locations go for all Breckenridge elopements. We even got to hang with Chippies!!! (AKA Chipmunks). Adorable little fluffy Chipmunks.

THE BRECKENRIDGE ELOPEMENT

We made it back to the house in time to relax a little before their ceremony. Their ceremony… oh my gosh was it a tear jerker! There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I think the sweetest part about elopements is the fact that they are utterly personal. You can have such an intimate moment including anyone who is present.

I loved how Chris and Christian had everyone who was there join hands during their ceremony. Right after they said their vows, they gifted a charm that went on a necklace to Christian’s son. Chris then said vows to Hudson, that he takes him forever to be his son. That moment was incredibly heartwarming.

Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe this Breckenridge Elopement.
