Arkansas Wedding at Lake Catherine State Park
Arkansas is full of some of the prettiest foliage and the most gorgeous light. Put those two things together with a really awesome couple, a pretty lake, and some really sweet cabins and you get yourself a pretty rad wedding.
CARTER AND KB
Carter & KB are just such an awesome couple and their wedding day just unfolded in a way that was just right for them. You might remember Carter and KB from their Austin Engagement Session I captured back in October. This Lake Catherine State Park wedding was so sweet and perfect for them. Every moment was fun and full of happiness between them, their family, and their friends.
KB and Carter did a first look out on the dock which was beautiful. The moment was romantic and totally suited them. Everything about this Arkansas wedding suited them perfectly. Lake Catherine is a special spot for them. They have been coming out here for years for a family reunion and decided it would be the perfect place to tie the knot.
LAKE CATHERINE STATE PARK
I had been a little worried about the weather as I always am for southern weddings in April. As April is prime storm season in the south. It stormed and rained a ton that week leading up to their wedding. However, the weather cleared up beautifully for the wedding day. We did a mid-day ceremony at the amphitheater they have there at the park. The reception for the wedding was held in a Cabin they rented out.
Speaking of these Lake Catherine State Park cabins.. they are adorable. I walked into KB’s cabin when I arrived and was instantly inspired. I also decided I could totally live in a cabin somewhere like this and be perfectly content. Cater and KB got ready in a separate cabin from each other. And It was perfect. Everything about their day was perfect. From the dress KB wore, to their custom Vans with their dogs photos all over them (You can customize and order some of your own here). To the amazing food served at the reception that one of their family members who is a chef put together. It was one amazing day.
