So you have decided that Colorado is the place you want to say “I Do” and you are looking for the perfect Colorado wedding venue for your day. I don’t blame you!! This state is amazing year round. It is full of some of the most beautiful scenery. Over the years of shooting weddings here, I have shot at some amazing locations large and small. So I decided to share all of my most loved venues with you. Here is a list of my personal favorite Colorado Wedding & Elopement Venues Venues
MOUNTAIN WEDDING VENUES
#1 Della Terra Mountain Chateau – Estes Park, CO

ABOUT THE VENUE:
This wooded chateau in the mountains is the perfect location for a romantic and luxurious Colorado wedding. This location can accommodate up to 200 guests. It also has an on site salon and lounge for getting ready before the wedding. This location is one of my personal favorites in the Estes Park area. You are able to bring in your own vendors to the property and often you will see deer, elk, or wild turkey on their property. It is located so close to RMNP which makes it an ideal location for a Colorado Wedding if you want access to sweeping mountain views for your portraits.

Many locations within a 5-10 min drive from Cabin rentals, Airbnbs, to Hotels and Lodges. My personal favorites are Estes Park Resort and The Stanley Hotel.
**PET FRIENDLY COLORADO WEDDING VENUE**
You can bring your dogs to this wedding venue, and they can partake in an outdoor ceremony. However they cannot come inside the building.

PRO TIP:
Head into Rocky Mountain National Park for your wedding portraits. This venue is located just a few minutes from the fall river road entrance to the park with so many gorgeous locations that make for great wedding day portraits. Your photographer will need the RMNP photography permit to work commercially in the park!
#2 The Stanley Hotel – Estes Park, CO

ABOUT THE VENUE:
This historic hotel is surrounded by the rocky mountains and has a gorgeous view of RMNP from the front lawn. It’s classic style makes for a vintage feel to the day. It is known for being in scenes from Dumb and Dumber, and is the hotel that the Shining was based off of. While the movie The Shining wasn’t filmed on site, the mini series of The Shining was. Are you a horror movie buff? This is one epic location for you then!

So much history sits in this hotel and if that’s something that interests you, it just might be the perfect spot for your Estes park wedding. This venue can Accommodate 200+, but is also ideal for groups ranging of 50 people and up. With Eight different rooms/buildings to host your wedding, there are a myriad of options for any group size. You can’t go wrong with this location.

This location is a full service hotel. But if you or your guests prefer to stay off site, there is plenty of lodging from cabin rentals to hotels all within a few minutes drive from the Stanley.
PRO TIP:
Aside from also being able to head into Rocky Mountain National Park for your wedding portraits. This venue also happens to be one of the most haunted locations in America. They do nightly ghost tours and could be something fun for you or your guests to partake in while at the property.
#3 Blackstone Rivers Ranch – Idaho Springs, CO

ABOUT THE VENUE:
This is a true hidden gem of a location. Probably one of my favorites in the state. You get secluded forest like vibes but you can drive just 10-15 minutes up the road and get some epic mountain views up on the road to Mt. Evans. This Colorado wedding venue is surrounded by huge trees, and even many aspen groves which makes it a perfect Fall wedding location. This venue can hold up to 200 people from May to October.
And only up to 39 people from November to April due to their tent not being set up. So not an ideal location for a larger Colorado winter wedding.

However they do offer an elopement package that starts at around 2k

While there is some lodging in Idaho Springs. It’s fairly slim if you are thinking of hotel blocks for your guests. However.. You are only a 30 minute drive to the Golden, Co area where there is much more ample lodging. My favorite hotel in that area is the Origin hotel at Red Rocks. It makes for the perfect getting ready location as well if you aren’t getting ready at the venue.
PRO TIP:
Have your photographer take you up the road towards mount evans for your bride and groom portraits. There is a lake up top with a gorgeous mountain view. And lots of places to stop on the way down for photos with awesome views.

#4 Larkspur at Vail Resort – Vail, CO

This gorgeous vail wedding venue has beautiful views of the Gore Valley Mountain Range and is just a five minute walk from vail village at the base of the mountain. This venue is all inclusive in the fact that they include the venue site fee, catering (including the bar program), rental items (set-up/break-down), such as: indoor tables & chairs, glassware, flatware, china and white linen napkins and basic menus, are all included in the food & beverage minimum. They can hold smaller more intimate celebrations as well as large celebrations up to 300+

This is another one of my top favorites for wedding venues here in Colorado. This ranch has it ALL. This location is the epitome of High End Ranch Life. You get the feel of the mountains but with absolute luxury.

They can accommodate up to 300 people for weddings and the reception and ceremony sites are beyond gorgeous. It is also available to be completely bought out depending on availability. They even have an 18,000 sq ft spa that overlooks the continental divide. Talk about the most amazing way to relax with your friends while there for your wedding weekend.
Asides from hosting your wedding, they also have a ton of fun activities like horseback riding, snow shoeing, etc. that you can partake in while staying at their property. Check out this video of the property:

Set up some fun activities for those of you who might be staying at Devil’s Thumb Ranch and make sure your photographer is there to capture all the fun! The couple in these photos set up ziplining and did that with their family that was in town for the wedding. They have so many different activities such as horseback riding, hiking, zip lining, a ropes course, archery, skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides, SO MUCH! Some are seasonal, and some are year round.

#6 Mt. Princeton Hot Springs – Buena Vista, CO

This resort is the perfect Colorado Wedding Venue for your mountain wedding. Its reception hall is absolutely gorgeous with windows that wrap around three sides of it. So you can see all the surrounding beauty. The hot springs here are incredible. The staff is great to work with at this venue too.

They have dog friendly rooms/cabins available for a fee. Pets can partake in ceremonies but are not permitted in the main lodge, or in the pavillion where receptions take place.

#7 The Woodlands – Morrison, CO

This location is such a charming little mountain venue so close to home. It is family owned and operated and Janelle and Steven are just amazing to work with here at this venue. It is just 30 minutes from Denver and close enough to feel close to town but still get those secluded mountain vibes too. This venue allows you to pick your own vendors but can provide you with a list of their favorites. They can host up to 200 guests.
Pricing Ranges from 6,000-9,500 depending on the day of the week and the time of year.

While there is some lodging in Morrison. It’s fairly slim if you are thinking of hotel blocks for your guests. However.. You are only a 15-20 minute drive to the Golden, Co area where there is much more ample lodging. My favorite hotel in that area is the Origin hotel at Red Rocks. It makes for the perfect getting ready location as well if you aren’t getting ready at the venue.

Hike down behind the ceremony spot for a really great first look/portrait location on site.

#9 Lunch Rock – Winter Park, CO

Stunning mountain views right from the ceremony site. You can’t get a better “mountain top vibe” from any other venue at the resort. The location is not only stunning but has ample room for a larger wedding. Currently, the resort is NOT taking new wedding inquiries through March of 2021. So check back with them then!

I think this is probably my favorite little wooded cabin-like venue in all of Colorado. Definitely one of the best colorado wedding venues in the state. The location is gorgeous and really has that rustic cabin vibe going. The view from the ceremony site is just dreamy. You can explore the area and get some really beautiful photos captured in the area. You are also close to other areas of Breck and if you had time, you could potentially drive off site to other locations for more portraits. I am a huge fan of this site mainly because it feels so secluded. You also have lodging options walking distance from the venue. So many rentals in this area. And the amount of wildlife I see when at this venue just makes me that much happier.

Gorgeous Mountain Views and Overlooks the Breck Ski Resort. Their Sky View Deck is the perfect ceremony location. This venue can host weddings year round, so if you are looking for a winter wonderland this is a great spot in Breck for winter weddings!

#12 Ten Mile Station – Breckenridge, CO

ABOUT THE VENUE:
Probably my favorite Ski Resort location to host a wedding. Absolutely has to be on the best colorado wedding venue list. This spot is gorgeous and really just screams “COLORADO!”. This venue is tucked into the beauty and serenity of the National Forest and capturing the beauty of the West in its authentic architectural design. They have a stone patio where the ceremony is held that boasts some of the most spectacular views. They do not do weddings year round, only from roughly Late May – September and can hold up to 200 people. This venue sits on the side of Peak 9, and has that secluded feel to it yet you are still so close to town. I also truly love the market string lights that hang over the dance floor.

Absolutely give yourselves enough time to explore the property for photos because there are SO many good photo ops from every angle here. Just take a look at this particular Ten Mile Station Wedding to see for yourself! I am pretty sure we spent at least 45 minutes during this wedding day just on bride and groom portraits and it was 100% worth every second of that time.

Sitting on 3500 acres, this ranch is the perfect spot for an oh so “Colorado” Wedding Party! It is a part of Wedgewood Weddings. Which have a ton of locations throughout Colorado. For this particular property, they have a few different locations on site to host your ceremony and reception, both of which are absolutely stunning. I love the rustic cabin vibes of this venue, the large outdoor patio that serves as the perfect setting for your cocktail hour, and a firepit on site to light up during your reception. #14 The Little Nell – Aspen, CO

The Wedding Overlook at The Little Nell just might be the most Iconic high end wedding venue in Colorado. Totally deserves to be on The Best Colorado Wedding Venues List! You have to take the gondola up to the top of the mountain to say your vows and it is utterly romantic. You get the most beautiful views of the Elk Mountain Range. This ceremony site is at over 11,000 feet high. So make sure you are prepared to deal with altitude for the ceremony! The Little Nell Has a few different reception venues ideal for 125 people up to 300+.

Drink lots of water leading up to your wedding day. Going up above 11k feet can really mess with you! Altitude sickness is no joke, and I always recommend that someone hosting a high altitude wedding prepare not just themselves, but also their guests prior to.

Snowmass Village makes for the perfect location for a mountain wedding! Located on the slopes of Snowmass, this wedding terrace has amazing views and is surrounded by beautiful Aspens. You will take a shuttle up from your getting ready location (this couple used Limelight Hotel Snowmass) to your ceremony, and back down to your reception. Limelight Hotel Snowmass was used for their reception location. This is such an ideal spot for a fall wedding as the aspen colors are just STUNNING in the fall.

Another one of Wedgewood Weddings, this property is a gorgeous ‘Painted Lady’ mansion that can be yours for the day. Explore the manicured grounds and escape to where the wildflowers bloom! Admire the Queen Anne architecture with a gable roof, decorative trim, and whimsical coloring. Ideal for weddings, Tapestry House by Wedgewood Weddings is all about vintage charm and romance. The garden ceremony area, grand ballroom, and luxe pavilion are designed for mingling with family and friends. Relax with your wedding party and explore the alluring manor interior. I can’t explain how much I love this venue. 100% deserves to be on this list of the Best Colorado Wedding Venues. This venue is Cliffside on the St. Vrain River and just gives the most romantic vibes. They can hold up to 200 people, have a tent on site for your outdoor reception, and tables, chairs, sound system, and restrooms are included in your rental. They also partner with some tiny homes that can be rented for you or your guests! The owners also own The Lyons Farmette Venue which is listed next on this list.

#18 Lyons Farmette – Lyons, CO

A romantic a peaceful farm location that doesn’t really feel too much like a “Farm”. More like a secluded little green and lush hideaway farmhouse with some farm animals and a beautiful property. This is a boutique flower farm with a stream that runs by it and gorgeous cottonwood trees. They can provide a farm to table dinner for you and your guests, and provide the flowers for your event as well. This location is smaller than the riverbend and can only hold 125 people. Makes for a great spot for slightly more intimate weddings. There is a tent onsite as well.

One gorgeous urban wedding Venue on the northern end of the front range. You get all of the city like industrial vibes in the small city of Longmont. Brick walls and exposed AC ducts make this place stand out amongst other mountainous venues in the area. One of the only options for an industrial space in the Northern Colorado area. It definitely needs to be on this list of best colorado wedding venues. The Market lights add the perfect touch to this Venue. And downstairs is the most gorgeous chic location where you can get ready, host the cocktail hour, etc. Talk about one gorgeous indoor wedding venue in the heart of Boulder County!

#20 Dushanbe Teahouse – Boulder, CO

Probably the most unique venue I have on my best colorado wedding venues list. This teahouse is so full of history and is just GORGEOUS. This Ornate landmark was shipped piece by piece from Tajikistan & rebuilt creekside. Read all about the history of the Teahouse on their website HERE. This location is better for smaller affairs as the location isn’t huge, but can comfortably fit about 50-60 people, maybe more.

The Best Colorado Wedding Venues List just wouldn’t be the same without the Greenbriar Inn! Such a quaint and gorgeous location for a wedding on the front range. You get beautiful views of the foothills while feeling so secluded, but without being far from the city of Boulder. This location is rich in history and also is committed to the environment with an extensive composting and recycling program. That alone makes it one of my favorites in this area. The staff is exceptionally friendly and great to work with as well! This location can hold up to about 125 people.

Located on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, this outdoor ceremony-only location is the perfect setting if you want something all natural, and totally COLORADO! The location overlooks the entire city of Boulder and offers spectacular views amongst the pine trees. This location must be rented through the City of Boulder.

This venue is only open May through October every year. Please note there is no outdoor shelter, so you must be prepared for inclement weather on the mountain. When open, this location can hold 150 total people for the ceremony.

This venue is beyond amazing. The beautiful moss wall that sits on the West side of the venue is the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. And the chandelier filled reception room is to die for. Project Floral is also on site, and creates the perfect floral installations for your day. Fits up to 200 seated.

Just to the east of Denver and The Front Range and just about a 30 minute drive from downtown, you get this spectacular rustic yet modern wedding venue out in the beautiful plains of Colorado. It has a barn design but with an extremely elegant and romantic flair. Walking into this venue, I felt like it was designed just for us photographers. One of the things us photographers love when shooting at a venue is when there is ample light, gorgeous and spacious areas for the couple to get ready in, lots of space for the guests to interact and hang, and great locations for portraits throughout the property. This location has it all. It is a blank canvas that can be turned into any vision and is suitable for so many different vibes a couple might want for their wedding day. I particularly love the outside dance floor covered in string lights and their covered patio which makes for a great spot for a sparkler entrance onto the dance floor, or to make your exit under!

In the heart of Downtown Denver, this hotel is one classy and elegant location to host your wedding. This location has multiple rooms available that can hold from 100-250 people. The vibe of this location is classy, romantic, and luxurious. They offer amazing catering packages and their team at the hotel is really great to work with. The even offer private bridal yoga class, bridal makeup and groomsmen barber services, and private whiskey tastings. This is definitely more of a High-end type of location and if that is your thing, this is one excellent choice for your wedding. The guest rooms here are also fabulous! They make for amazing getting ready photos.
They also host other events such as engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, cocktail hours and farewell brunches, etc.

What a cool location for the beer lovers here in Colorado. The Turnhalle can be used for both reception and ceremony and can fit over 250 guests. The hall has a theatre type vibe to it and is just a really unique place to host your wedding. You get epic views of the Denver skyline within a few minutes walk of this location making it wonderful if you are wanting those city backdrop photos.

This Historic Manor in The Foothills of Denver is the perfect setting for a wedding with a romantic and elegant vibe. This historic location is by far one of my favorite Denver Wedding Venues. You get beautiful views of the foothills, and yet can even see downtown Denver from the ceremony site. Not only that, but you get a pretty awesome view of Red Rocks Park in the distance. The property is tucked away from the busy areas of Denver, but so close to town you can be there in 20 minutes. Makes it an ideal location for a celebration close to town.
I think one of my favorite things about this venue is its versatility. It doesn’t matter if it’s Rain or Shine, Snow or Sleet. Any location in or out, is absolutely beautiful. There is a library on site that makes for some of the most gorgeous portraits. The getting area for both the guys and the girls has ample space and its own unique features that just give both rooms a personal touch. There is also a cottage on site that can be rented and utilized during the wedding day. The cottage is located directly adjacent to The Manor House and has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office, kitchen, and a large living area. It comfortably sleeps six people.

One of my favorite urban hotels in the Rino District of Denver. This Classy but energetic hotel gives you all the bad ass city vibes you might be craving for your wedding day. The rooms are gorgeous and make for a great getting ready location on site. Downstairs is Death and Co. a renowned NYC cocktail institution now in the heart of Denver with some delicious small bites available. When I first found out there was a Death and Co. here I was SO excited. If you haven’t been , you must go visit! It has always been one of my favorite places when I visited NYC, and its so fun that there is one local to Denver now.

This isn’t your typical “Barn” Venue. It’s a healthy mix of a little rustic and a little romantic . The ceremony site is set on the site of the barn and has almost a vintage feel with benches and a wired gate at the entrance. But with elegant touches as well. The indoor space is large and open and can be transformed exactly as you want it to be for a wedding of any size. They have getting ready suites on site as well. The best part is, it is beautiful and affordable all in one!

Located at one of the most famous concert venues in the world, Red Rocks Trading Post is a great location for your wedding ceremony. With epic red rocks as your background, your wedding will be so beautiful and unique. This spot does host receptions as well if you would like. Just know, that there really is not much of a backup plan with inclement weather. Small weddings with not many people could possibly go under the porch out back. But larger weddings just have to roll with it. This couple did just that and we had a gorgeous snowy (but extremely cold) wedding ceremony!
Their reception was held at The Rose in Golden, which is featured next on the list!

One of my new favorite venues!! This spot is close to town, has ample space for a big party, incredible staff, and is just BEAUTIFUL. I am a big fan of spaces that have so many perfect photo spots. Because of the weather on this day, we opted to do most of their portraits indoors and this space allowed for us to do that, and the photos still end up gorgeous. Golden is also just an incredibly cute town, and walking around outside (weather permitting) can get you some super cute photos.

A beautiful classy and elegant historical spot in Denver thats perfect for your wedding celebration! This spot is just incredible. It is like stepping back in time a little bit, and just feels so classy. If you are a history buff, and want to incorporate a little of Denver history into your wedding day, then this is the perfect spot for you! It allows for great indoor portraits here which is nice if there is bad weather. But it is good to know that the area surrounding the venue is very urban and is right next to the Broncos Stadium. So keep that in mind when booking, and looking at dates (I would def not want to deal with a Broncos home game at the same time as my wedding)

Make sure you work with your Photographer on Timeline! Light can be really harsh here during mid day. So just trust us when we try and create you the best timeline possible <3 OR allow for time in the timeline to venture offsite (close in downtown somewhere) for portraits. It might be reallyyyy worth it 🙂
