Brittany + Chad. A Honeymoon Couples Session in Rocky Mountain National Park.

When I get to do an adventure session in RMNP I am always so excited. There is just so much to explore and I feel like I could literally drive around with my couples all day and just shoot for hours. This session in particular was just amazing. Brittany and Chad JUST got married last weekend on June 2nd, and they were spending their honeymoon out here in Colorado staying at the amazing Della Terra Mountain Chateau. Seeing as Della Terra is located right on the outskirts of Rocky Mountain National Park, I knew we had to go there to start off our session. We began our adventure at Alluvial Fan located just passed the entrance of the park. We spent some time there and then made our way up to Trail Ridge Road which was open for the season already. I was SO happy the road was open to get them some epic mountain views in their photos, as TRR is one of my favorite shooting locations in the park. From there we made our way down the mountain and headed to our last destination, Mary’s Lake. This spot is a favorite of mine as its easily accessible and has beautiful light that peaks through the mountains in the distance at sunset. During our time in the park we saw some pretty awesome wildlife, and had to pull over a few different times to try and capture some elk in the background. I always feel like my trip to Estes Park and RMNP are not complete unless we see an elk. And man, was the romance flowing in this session. Brittany and Chad have this chemistry about them that is just amazing!! Not to mention they are just a bad ass couple in general. I suggested that they get in the water at Mary’s Lake and they didn’t hesitate at all! And let me tell you that water was as cold as ice. It may have been 80 degrees out side but those mountain lakes stay freezing cold just about all summer. It was amazing. Just see for yourself..
