Let me introduce you to these two amazing women, Shannon and Martha.
They are such a power couple. You can just tell the way they interact with each other that not only are they absolutely in love, but they truly are best friends with each other.
I really love when I meet awesome ladies who have just kick ass headstrong personalities. Thats totally them. Not to mention they have three of the coolest dogs ever. I am literally the biggest animal fan and when I have a couple that wants to take their dogs along to their session it makes me SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY!!! Oh and did I mention that Shannon is a police officer for the town of Breckenridge?! How rad is that!?
When we were trying to decide where to do their session we talked about all sorts of different locations. From out west near Leadville down to Colorado Springs at Garden of the Gods to RMNP in Estes, but what we ultimately decided on was to do their session at their cabin they rented for a weekend away in Allenspark, Colorado. And it was the COOLEST location I have ever been to. Tucked into a little canyon, these cabins were secluded and absolutely gorgeous with a creek that ran throughout the property. It was great as their dogs got to roam around while we took photos, and we got to explore some really neat stuff. We even found this super creepy doll head that was just lying on the ground in the middle of no where (totally pictured below). And it just happened to be a weekend when none of the other properties on site were rented out, so we had full reign over the entire space. It was fabulous. Near the end of our session we hopped in the car to go find a cool spot with mountain views, and did we hit the jackpot. We found a pull off with a hill that had the most beautiful Mountain view not but 5 min from their cabin. Talk about a win! I can’t even express how much I love the photos from this session. They’re personal, have an awesomely unique location, and include all the dogs. <3 This my friends is a perfect shooting day…
